Free crochet sweater pattern

Today i’m sharing with you an easy beautiful crochet sweater, a free pattern that i translated from the amazing Youtube channel Lanas y Ovillos, the video that i translated is for the granny sweater but you will find a plenty of other easy free crochet patterns.

In this pattern you will find 4 different sizes from Small to Extra large.

It uses a stitch that we almost all used to learn crochet, we will simply repeat 3 double crochet groups.

Difficulty : Easy

Material :

• Drops love you Yarn in 2 colors :
  • 350 gr for S size : [200 gr color A, 150 color B same thing for other colors]
  • 400 gr for M size
  • 450 gr for L size
  • 550 gr for Extra L size.
• 3.5 mm crochet hook
• Scissors
• Yarn needle

Notes :

This crochet sweater will be worked in one pice, no sewing ..( Yeaay ! )

• Corner : three double crochet in the same stitch, 2 chains, skip 1 stitch of the previous row, three double crochet in the same stitch.
• Decrease : 2 double crochet in one space and one double crochet in the next space and close the 3 double crochets together .

Jersey Ganny Stripes Sweater Crochet Pattern

Small size

Chain 120, join the first and last chain with a slip stitch
Row 1: 1 double crochet in each chain.
Row 2: start with a half corner (three double crochet in the same stitch), 7
groups of 3 double crochet separated by a chain and skip 1 stitch of the
previous work, 1 corner (three double crochet in the same stitch, 2 chains, skip 1 stitch of the previous row, three double crochet in the same stitch) , 6 groups of 3 double crochet. Repeat. At the end of the row complete de corner. [Here at this point you should insert the Color B, then alternate rows with color A and color B]
Rows 3-13: keep working between the spaces of the previous row and repeat the corner increases as in row 1.
At this point, there must be 12 rows with increases in the corners.
Continue working and join the corners (three double crochet in one corner, and 3 double crochet in the other corner) to form the sleeves.
Rows 14-56: Continue working the body part in rounds. 3 groups of double
crochet in each space of the previous row.
Row 57: 2 double crochet in the double crochet groups of the previous row, and 2 double crochet in the spaces.
Place the yarn in the sleeves. Keep working in rounds up to row 66. Make 1
decrease every 10 rows (2 double crochet in one space and one double crochet in the next space and close the 3 double crochets together). (5 decreases)
Row 57 of the sleeves : 2 double crochet in the double crochet groups of the previous row, and 2 double crochet in the spaces.

Medium size

Chain 134, join the first and last chain with a slip stitch.
Row 1: 1 double crochet in each chain.
Row 2: start with a half corner (three double crochet in the same stitch), 8
groups of 3 double crochet separated by a chain and skip 1 stitch of the
previous work, 1 corner (three double crochet in the same stitch, 2 chains, skip 1 stitch of the previous row, three double crochet in the same stitch) , 7 groups of 3 double crochet. Repeat. At the end of the row complete de corner. [Here at this point you should insert the Color B, then alternate rows with color A and color B]
Rows 3-15: keep working between the spaces of the previous row and repeat the corner increases as in row 1.
At this point, there must be 14 rows with increases in the corners.

Rows 16-60: Continue working the body part in rounds. 3 groups of double

Large size

Rows 3-17: keep working between the spaces of the previous row and repeat

Rows 18-64: Continue working the body part in rounds. 3 groups of double

Extra-large size

Chain 160, join the first and last chain with a slip stitch.

Rows 3-20: keep working between the spaces of the previous row and repeat the corner increases as in row 1.
