Today we will make together a cute crochet baby blanket for girls, the pattern is completely free and easy to make ; we will learn first how to crochet the suzette stitch (written pattern + video tutorial) then explain the pattern, the material and the different sizes you can choose .

This Crochet baby blanket for girl pattern will show you how to make the Suzette stitch, designed to help you create yourn own projects.
You can choose for example (as shown in the picture) a 100×150 cm blanket, it will perfectly cover a baby’s bed.

Abreviations :
- ch = chain
- sl st = slip stitch
- sc = single crochet
- dc = double crochet
US terms
Material :
4 mm Crochet hook
Stylecraft yarns : Special DK in the colours : fondant, candyfloss, soft peach and white
The Suzette Stitch
Foundation chain : multiples of 2, depending on the length you want
Row 1 :
- sc in the 2nd st from the hook, dc in the same st, repeat until 2 sts .
- In the last 2 sts : skip one, sc in the last st
Row 2 :
- Ch 1, turn ( not a sc). *(sc, dc) in the next st , skip 1 st*, Repeat .
- In the last 2 sts : skip one, sc in the last one
Repeat 2nd row until you get the size you want.

Quick note :
If you want to use this stitch in other projects where you may have increases and decreases :
To increase the suzette stitch, you should make two sts in the very last st instead of one or two more sts ( so an extra suzette st)
Decreasing is a little trickier because you have to work 2 sc together to decrease by one st each time.
