Shawl crochet pattern
Start with # of chains multiples of 12 equal to the desired width, ch12.
1st Row: sc in 12th ch from hook, ch1, ** (*yarn over, insert hook in the same st*, repeat * 6 times, yarn over, pull through all loops, ch1, yarn over, insert hook in the st you just made, repeat * 5 times, yarn over, pull through all loops, ch1, skip next 5ch, sc in the next ch [back to video to understand this part clearly (at minute 3:00)], ch9, skip next 5ch, sc in the next ch, ch1) **, repeat ** until reach the last 6st, *yarn over, insert hook in the same st*, repeat * 6 times, yarn over, pull through all loops, ch1, yarn over, insert hook in the st you just made, repeat * 5 times, yarn over, pull through all loops, ch1, skip next 5ch, sc in the last ch.

My favorite thing about this pattern is that it is mindless! If you have good lighting for the evening, this is the perfect project for relaxing at the end of the day!
Blocking :
Soak finished shawl for 20 minutes in cool water and squeeze excess water out gently. Do not twist. Lay damp shawl on blocking boards and stretch to 71.5 inch width x 20 inch height (or to your desired width and height) use blocking pins to hold in place. Let your shawl dry completely before unpinning.
